Chainsaw Safety –
Chainsaws are one of the most commonly used power tools but their uses and abuses are rarely discussed. They are seen as potential dangerous tools - given the rotating blades but those hazards tend to be
minimized.

This course attempts to address those issues and it is written for both the experienced and inexperienced chainsaw user. Here are the main topic areas:

1) Train the employee in the safe methods of inspecting chainsaws,
2) utilize personal protective equipment effectively,
3) define what are potentially hazardous operating situations,
4) define what are serious and non-serious equipment deficiencies,
5) provides the participant with the extent of chainsaw injuries in the US,
6) gives the participant four steps to minimizing or eliminating chainsaw injuries.
