Course Description:
Blood-borne Pathogens Safety –
a) train employee in the proper blood-borne pathogen terminologies, educate participant in the Needle-stick safety and prevention act as well as the 1991 OSHA Blood-borne pathogens standard,
b) familiarize participant in the blood-borne pathogens section of the training the participant to fully protect themselves from workplace blood-borne pathogen hazards is the goal of this course.
Topics include: what blood-borne pathogens are, what laws apply, the exposure control plan components, record-keeping & training requirements, hepatitis B vaccination exposure & follow-up.
